Horizon Academy – The Myth of Laziness: A New Understanding of Student Motivation (Roeland Park)

The Myth of Laziness: A New Understanding of Student Motivation

    Thursday, February 13, 2020 6:30-8:00 p.m.

This session, presented by Horizon Academy's School Psychologist, Tiffany Arrington, PhD, challenges parents to rethink using the word "lazy" to describe student behaviors. Using the latest neuropsychology research on executive functioning, learning, and mood, this session will help parents interpret student behavior in more meaningful and productive ways. By helping your student identify his or her areas of strength and deficits, while providing appropriate expectations, you can help your student learn to motivate themselves.
