Nelson-Atkins – Relating to Art (KC)

In partnership with the Autism Society the Heartland, monthly art classes will be held at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of art in classrooms 4 and 5 in the Ford Learning Center from September 2019–April 2020.

Classes are for adults 18+ on the spectrum.  Classes are free, however, enrollments are required as spaces in the classroom are limited.

Kansas Children’s Discovery Center-Puzzle Pieces (Topeka)

On the second Sunday of each month from 11 am - 1 pm, the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center offers FREE admission to families with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Champion Special Ministries – Night of Champions Talent Show (Prairie Village)

Night of Champions event takes place from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.

Anyone age 6 and up is welcome to attend. Night of Champions events are free of charge, and participants are highly encouraged to dress up according to each Night of Champions theme!

Capper Foundation – Open Swim (Topeka)

Our warm water therapy pool is available for Open Swim sessions on Wednesday afternoons from 4pm to 6pm for individuals with disabilities and their immediate family members. An adult must be present at all times to supervise children under the age of 18 years. All participants are required to sign a Waiver of Liability.
