Mindfulness is emerging in the research as an effective adjunct or complimentary approach to easing ADHD symptoms. Get a brief overview of why it might be useful and sample some of the practices from Dr. Tracy Ochester.
Dr. Ochester is the Heart-Mind Coordinator for the Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness, a licensed psychologist in private practice in Kansas City specializing in ADHD assessment, a Certified Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Teacher and UCSD MBPTI approved Mentor, a Trained Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention Teacher, and a Registered Yoga Teacher. Her journey into mindfulness was inspired by her desire to help clients reduce their suffering. She learned firsthand, through personal practice, its beneficial effects on well-being.
